The author
Giuseppe Lipari was born in Marsala (Sicily) in 1971. He started to be in love with computers and programming since he was a little boy. He started programming in basic on a Commodore 64 (of his friend), until his father bought him a Philips MSX.
He graduated in Computer Engineering in Pisa in 1996, and after a PhD, a visit to USA and 5 years of post-doc, he is now associate professor at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa. He teaches Operating Systems and Real-Time Systems. He has a lot of fun in doing research on embedded real-time systems.
Married with a wonderful woman, he has two loving children.
His most prominent problem is that he has not learned how to say “No”, yet.
